About Me

Building digital solutions that make a difference

I stepped into my first office at 18, fresh out of high school, and got thrown straight into a real project. Looking back, that sink-or-swim moment set the tone for everything that followed. Since then, I've built everything from straightforward marketing sites to complex backend systems, mobile apps, and Shopify applications.

What really shaped me was being trusted early on to make architectural decisions and set up projects from scratch. I've worked solo, in tight 2-person teams, and in groups of 20+. I've inherited messy legacy codebases and started fresh greenfield projects. Each taught me something different about building software that lasts.

You know that feeling when you're in a foreign city, pull up Google Maps, and it just works? That's what drives me. I want to build things that make someone's day easier—tools they don't have to think about because they just do what they need. Currently, I'm at Shop Circle working on Shopify apps, trying to do exactly that for merchants and customers every day.

My professional journey so far

Early 2025 - Present

Shopify Apps Team

HulkApps / Shop Circle

Sought a new challenge and switched teams to work on two legacy Shopify apps handling cash on delivery, upsells, downsells, quantity offers, and partial payments. A completely different codebase and tech stack that pushed me out of my comfort zone again.

Built a full customer-support chat application to replace costly third-party tools like Crisp. Created an AI knowledge base spanning 40+ apps that recommended real-time replies and could operate on autopilot, drastically reducing the load on the CX team.

HulkApps / Shop Circle

Co-owned and architected the partner affiliate platform from scratch. The proven architecture of the internal intelligence tool became the blueprint. Partners could register, generate tracked referral links, monitor installs, and earn commissions.

Internal Intelligence Tool

HulkApps / Shop Circle

Co-built scrapers that collected gigabytes of competitor data using Puppeteer and Cheerio. Wrapped that data in analytics and competition-analysis dashboards that drove company-wide business decisions. Used by management, marketing, PM, and CX teams. As the AI boom hit, integrated OpenAI to surface analysis and strategic suggestions. Team grew from 2 to 15-20 people.

First Role - Client Project

HulkApps / Vinyl Me, Please

Landed my first full-stack job at 18, fresh out of high school. Expected React but the project used Vue — had to adapt within a week. Joined a 10-15 person international team building a custom shop, API, and admin application for a vinyl subscription business. Built the wishlist feature, admin dashboard, subscription logic, and workflow automations.
